I remember as a young boy standing on the shore of a large lake in Pa. watching a group of sailboats on the horizon. They seemed to be barely moving and I wondered what could be the possible fascination. This question was answered for me in 1973 when a law school friend, Charlie Rose, introduced us to sailing on Galveston Bay aboard his dad's boat. We were hooked--.
We owned a series of boats until our interests started shifting to the mountains of Colorado, we sold the boat and were out of sailing for almost 18 years. I don't know exactly what it was other than the usual realizations of turning the big "six oh" but in January of 2007 the bug bit again. We bought our boat, Assisted Living" in March and have practically been living aboard ever since. Now, having come to the realization that Galveston Bay and the Texas coast are too restrictive we have set our sights on broader horizons and hope to take off soon on an extended cruise. That is what this blog site is all about. We hope you will visit us here from time to time and join us in our adventure--It promises to be interesting. We hope you will enjoy reading about it.
